A diamond band is the workhorse of a fine jewellery wardrobe. It stacks with an engagement ring, wears alone on the opposite hand, and doubles as an anniversary gift, a push present, or a wedding band. Lab-grown diamonds make high-carat bands accessible in a way that natural stones cannot.
Types of band
Eternity bands have diamonds running the full 360° of the ring. The most dramatic silhouette, but with limited resizing. Half-eternity bands have diamonds on the top half only; more comfortable, easier to resize, and usually half the price. Wedding bands and cocktail bands each have their own styling.
Diamond shapes in bands
Round is the classic. Baguette bands use rectangular step-cut diamonds for a more architectural look. Emerald-cut bands are rarer and more formal. Princess-cut bands have a modern, geometric presence.
How to stack
Bands pair beautifully with solitaires and halo engagement rings. For visual balance, match the metal colour and keep the diamond size on the band smaller than the engagement ring centre. Stacking rings are built specifically for combining.
What to watch for
Eternity bands cannot be resized more than half a size because the diamonds run all the way around. Get the size right the first time. We offer a free sizing kit on request. Half-eternity bands can be resized 1-2 sizes without issue.

What's the difference between an eternity band and a half-eternity band?
An eternity band has diamonds running all the way around the ring. A half-eternity band has diamonds on the top half only. The part that faces outwards. Half-eternities are more comfortable, more resize-friendly, and usually about half the price.
Can an eternity band be resized?
Only within half a size, and not always cleanly. Because the diamonds run continuously, there is nowhere to cut and reshape the band. Get your size right the first time. We ship a free sizing kit on request.
What size diamonds work best in a band?
For a stack alongside an engagement ring, 0.03–0.08 ct per stone keeps the band delicate. For a stand-alone statement band, 0.15–0.25 ct per stone is visible across the room.
Can I wear a diamond band as a wedding band?
Yes. Many of our customers do. A half-eternity or eternity band in the same metal colour as the engagement ring is a classic wedding-band choice.
